Web Series Incubator
The WOS Web Series Incubator is a six-week development incubator program for short web series, namely pilot scripts, crafted by female-identifying screenwriters and featuring female-driven content. Eight scripts and writers/writing teams are selected to participate in this development program, with mentorship provided from Canadian Film and Television Industry Professionals. At the culmination of the program, excerpts from the scripts are performed live at an industry showcase featuring a cast of Toronto's top actors.
WOS Salons are regular events offered by Women On Screen that feature screenings, panel discussions, round tables, and more. Inspiring women from the Canadian Film & Television Industry serve as guest speakers for a crowd of industry professionals at varying stages of their careers. The mission of the Salons is to view current work from the industry's leading professionals, followed by a conversation with the special guest about their unique background, experiences and current positions in the industry, and then engage with the audience in a brief question and answer period. The evenings conclude with an opportunity for guests and audience members to connect, discuss and socialize.
WOS Socials are held around the city of Toronto and provide an opportunity for female-identifying peers on all sides of the camera to come together in an informal setting to support each other, swap stories and ideas, and cultivate an inclusive and creative atmosphere within the industry.
